How are you going to talk to him? How are you going to communicate it all to him? You know so much and he so little. Will you grant him merely the education common to all? Or will you give him the extra knowledge required for such a task, if indeed this task must fall to him?
Look at him now. He’s growing quickly, time is running short for these decisions. Look how he explores his magnificent home. Look at how he seeks out and absorbs knowledge even now at this young age. And of his magic one can no longer be in any doubt. He is meant for this world, truly meant for the historic castle in which he has grown up.
Of course, given his ancestry should there ever have been any doubt? He is descended from those who were first given the “gift”. And, Oh, how they thought it made them special, until they discovered the identity of those from whom the gift had come. At least then they were wise enough to acknowledge that this “gift” was more of a curse. But that knowledge has been forgotten now, now that the users of the gift have become so sundered from those to whom it was never given.
You know your purpose, you know what it is you must do. Perhaps this is truly the time. This boy, given unto you in such a way, given so completely to you….for what other reason can there be? But how to tell him…?
For isn’t that the enduring problem that must chiefly be addressed? That no one knows how to communicate anymore, if they ever did at all. There is a great void in human understanding. No single individual can fill this void, not even this fateful child. Only through collective communication can this void be filled, and a certain kind of communication, one that addresses higher things, one that becomes a great dialectical dialogue ascending higher and higher towards an apex of Truth.
Perhaps you can begin this dialogue. Sow the seeds of Truth within the mind of this curious wanderer and begin the process. Into the silent void must be thrust the blazing fire of Reason. Only then can humanity Truly communicate, and begin down the path to divinity.
